Beginning with slichot and ending with Yom Kippur, are what we call the days of AWE  It is our opportunity to deeply examine the SUM of who “I Am”  in all the steps of our lives, determine what we need to repent & renew, leaving the former in the past and creating the latter for our future. There will be time to talk, meditate, move, sing, pray… come to continue to unburden ourselves.

About Marty

Marty Potrop is a former Shomer of the Minyan with a long career in Jewish communal work. He holds an MSW from Yeshiva University, is a professional facilitator, and will help guide us in our process of teshuvah.

About the Presenters

Renna Ulvang is a psychotherapist in private practice and a Certified Spiritual Director.  Her callings include exploring the movements of the Divine in everyday life, playing the Appalachian Dulcimer, quilting, knitting, writing poetry, creating mixed media sacred books and laughing.

Daniel Tov (aka Dan Howard) is a freelance entertainer, writer, and photographer who is passionate about bringing musical experiences to people wherever he goes. His entertainment business, Joy of Music, is now in its 26th year of serving residents in care facilities and those with special needs. Daniel has been a Minyan member since 1995 and loves to quote Hassidic master Rebbe Nachman of Breslov:

The most direct means for attaching ourselves to G*d from this material world is through music and song.

Even if you can't sing well, sing.

Sing to yourself. But sing.

"Ganya" means "Garden of God" in both Hindi and Hebrew. Jennifer Ganya earned her Yin yoga certification in 2020, which is recognized by Yoga Alliance US and Canada, and by British Yoga Wheel. The main influences that inform her teaching are the late BKS Iyengar, Yin Yoga founder Paulie Zink, Canadian Yin Yoga sensation Kassandra Reindhart and yoga therapist Doug Keller of Yoga International fame. An eternal student, she regularly attends Jewish yoga classes online and Iyengar yoga through Iyengar Institute Los Angeles, as she has done consistently since the start of the pandemic.

Each of us is significant.  We never know what the reverberations of our actions might be.  To increase the ease in our minds and hearts and to be more effective in amplifying the spirit of peace and wholeness, we need to transcend the shmutz we've been schlepping around from our earliest days or perhaps even, from past incarnations.  On this, the 4th Aquarian Minyan Teshuvah Night, we will offer a simple approach to Karmic Renewal, so that the reverberations of our actions will brighten up our lives, our families, and the unknown future.

About Barry Barkan

Baal Bracha Barry Barkan is a co-founder of the Aquarian Minyan.  He was the first of seven people ordained by Reb Zalman Schachter Shalom as a master of blessings.  Lately, he has been focussing on his own karmic renewal.
