The Aquarian Minyan meets regularly for musical, embodied, interactive Renewal Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday nights, and Saturday morning Shacharit and Torah Services. Shabbat services are always available on Zoom, and in-person services are generally held once a month in locations across the East Bay and Marin, in members’ homes or community spaces. Imagine living-room Judaism at its finest – hosted and led by inspiring lay-leaders, musicians, singers, rabbis, and emerging spiritual leaders, with lively group discussion of the weekly Parsha.
It’s a little different every time, and that’s part of the magic of it.
This week’s Parsha is Parshat Bereshit Genesis 1:1-6:8 | Haftarah is I Samuel 20:18-42 | Shabbat Machar Chodesh
Bereshit (“In the Beginning”) is the first parashah in the annual Torah reading cycle, which restarts at the beginning of the book of Genesis. The reading begins with God’s creation of the world. The first people, Adam and Eve, eat from the Tree of Knowledge and are then banished from the Garden of Eden. Their elder son, Cain, kills their younger son, Abel, and Cain is destined to a life of wandering. (Sourced from Hebcal)
